Here’s a great video that popped up a few days ago about hop growing in Wisconsin and Bavaria. It’s produced by Wisconsin Foodie and was broadcast last week on Wisconsin Public Television. James Altwies of Gorst Valley Hop farms gives a tour of his operation and then they follow Dan Carey of New Glarus to Bavaria to watch him select hops. It’s fascinating stuff and all that lush greenery makes for a welcome break from the frigid world howling outside your window. Hey, the hop season isn’t all that far off.
