Oshkosh Classics

Oshkosh Classics is a 32-page, full-color, magazine-sized booklet of historic Oshkosh beer recipes. The booklet is aimed primarily at homebrewers, but anyone interested in Oshkosh's brewing history or the city’s social history will find it interesting. The story told here goes beyond beer. It’s about community.

I began searching for these recipes about 12 years ago. My intention was to replicate what were then lost Oshkosh beers. As I found recipes, I scaled them to homebrew batch sizes and began brewing. I wasn’t surprised to discover that the recipes produced great beers. After all, people in Oshkosh once loved these beers.

I wrote the booklet on behalf of the Society of Oshkosh Brewers homebrewing club. All of the proceeds go directly to help support the club. Individual copes of the booklet are available for $5 in person or $7 postpaid.
